Skill reels that show what you know

Skill reels are short videos that let people see you explain a topic, describe your experience, or work through a question. On Spotlytt, your profile can include AI interview answers and manually recorded skill clips.

What is a skill reel?

A skill reel is a short piece of video evidence about a skill, knowledge area, or tool. For example, you might explain a Java testing strategy, introduce a video editing tool, or describe how you would investigate a cloud service failure.

AI interview answers versus manual skill clips

AI interview answers respond to generated questions and can carry AI evaluation scores. Manual skill clips let you choose a topic, title, and optional description, then speak for up to two minutes. Manual clips go through admin review before publication; approval is different from an AI interview skill score.

How do you record a manual skill clip?

Choose a topic from your profile or enter a new one, add a clear title, and record your explanation. Review the recording before uploading it. Approved clips appear on your profile, and you can manage their visibility.

What makes a useful skill reel?

Start with the problem or topic, explain your approach, and give a concrete example. Describe what you personally did or would do. Clear reasoning and accurate examples give viewers more useful evidence than a list of buzzwords.

Where can people find your clips?

Eligible public clips can be shared using their own links. Discovery on Spotlytt can include both AI interview answers and approved, visible manual clips, matched through topics, target roles, and followed profiles.
